Bacon and banana cupcakes have help furniture firm Glasswells latest fund-raising efforts.
The inventive cakes were part of a bake off between the company’s purchasing and web team on Wednesday (11).
The cakes were sold to staff and raised £107 towards its Towergate Accumulator Challenge for St Nicholas Hospice Care. It has raised more than £1,000 so far.
Jade Rumsey, marketing manager at the firm in Newmarket Road, Bury St Edmunds, said “We have been doing a number of activities to boost our fundraising efforts for the Accumulator Challenge; we’ve organised a rock night and a family fun day at Moreton Hall Community Centre, held a nearly new clothing sale and have put on competitions, raffles and food sales.
“We have all had a lot of fun getting involved in the various events and our staff have been very generous with both their money and their time, raising well over £1,000 to date.”
