Arrest in Barton Mills after drugs found in car

Police arrested a man in Barton Mills yesterday after drugs were discovered in a car.

The incident took place at around 6pm on the A11, when officers stopped a vehicle and executed a search under Section 23 of the Misuse of Drugs Act.

A quantity of what was believed to be a Class A drug was seized.

The man, aged 36 and from Narborough in Norfolk, was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a Class A drug.

He was taken to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre for questioning, where he has since been bailed to return on August 13, pending further enquiries.
