The Searchers who will be appearing at The Apex next year

Amazing names from the music world are making an appearance at The Apex next year.

The award winning performance venu will be hosting some great names from the world of blues, classical music and sixties icons.

Kicking off 2014 will be the great voice of Ruby Turner. On January 24 she will be on stage performing some of her well known numbers including I’d Rather Go Blind and ‘Signed, Sealed, Delivered. Ruby has performed with The Four Tops, The Temptations, Jimmy Ruffin, Brian Ferry, Mick Jagger, Steve Winwood and Jools Holland. February sees An Evening with Gerry and the Pacemakers, Fairport Convention, and an electrifying performance by 60s Legend Geno Washington and his great mix of R&B and Northern Soul, before one of the biggest bands of the 2-Tone movement, The Beat round off the month.

In March there will be appearances by Julian Lloyd Webber, Fascinating Aida, the charismatic Toyah Willcox musician and actress, and Ruby Wax, the comedian, writer and mental health campaigner.

Madness frontman Suggs will take to the stage in April, in Suggs: My Life Story, a hilarious, yet moving, one man tour de force that is playing to rave reviews. The following months will see visits from The Searchers, The Fureys & Davey Arthur, The Blues Band, plus X-Factor winner Joe McElderry.

On 23 October, Joan Armatrading will bring her last major tour, to Bury.

She will be performing solo on piano, guitar and celebrates 42 years of performance.
