An annual fund-raiser that puts Bury St Edmunds retailers 0centre stage has once again earned a charity more than £5,000 in ‘vital’ cash.

Fashion Fusion, organised by staff at The Apex, where the event was staged for a fourth time earlier this month, showcases fashion from a range of independent shops and high street stores.

The night saw catwalk models, displaying hair and beauty styles created by students from West Suffolk College, show off young and exclusion fashion to lively music in front of an appreciate audience.

It raised a total of £5,603 for St Nicholas Hospice Care which, for the first time, saw its staff and volunteers model fashion from its shops alongside that of other retailers.

Abby Mayes, corporate fund-raiser for the hospice, said: “We were delighted to see a repeat of this fantastic event and would like to thank everybody for all of their hard work in organising it and to the retailers and models that took part.”

“We hope it becomes a fixture in the Bury St Edmunds calendar,” she added.
