Scene of a car accident on the roundabout on Hurth Way (A1066) in Thetford

The East Anglian Air Ambulance joined other emergency services at the scene of an accident in Thetford on Wednesday morning.

A car had overturned after leaving the road at the A1066 roundabout at around 8.45am.

Fire crews worked to release a woman who had become trapped after the vehicle landed on its roof.

The woman, in her early 20s, was taken by ambulance to West Suffolk Hospital, in Bury St Edmunds.

Her injuries were not thought to be serious.
