Landlords have voted a letting agents with offices in Bury St Edmunds and Stowmarket, as the best large letting chain in the UK.
Martin & Co won gold in the Estate and Letting Agent Awards for the second time in four years.
It previously walked away with the award in 2009, and collected silver both in 2010 and 2011.
“This award means a lot to Martin & Co and our offices as it is voted for by landlords,” said Ian Wilson, Managing Director of Martin & Co.
“The amount of effort in obtaining this feedback from our landlords is not to be under-estimated and to have this number of offices shortlisted is just fantastic news.
“It is really important to recognise not only the offices that secured regional recognition, but many others took part and their results were invaluable in contributing to our national gold award award.
“Throughout the letting industry there is a constant need to improve customer service and these are the only awards that recognise just that. Word of mouth and customer satisfaction are powerful marketing tools.”
The awards were hosted by Phil Spencer, the TV property expert at a luncheon ceremony in London.
The event was attended by 550 of the UK’s top estate and letting agents.
The results of the competition were determined by research carried out amongst landlords who are asked a series of questions about the service they have received from their agent.
Over 33,000 votes were received making it the biggest consumer survey of its kind in the property industry and recognising the best agents in the business
As well as the best overall award, the Martin & Co also won 11 regional awards.
It also won the Grand Prix Award for the best letting agent in the UK which went to its Haywards Heath and Burgess Hill office, while Carole Bazzoni, franchise owner of its Andover office was highly commended after coming in the top five in the individual award, which recognises excellence amongst individuals, and which is again based on feedback from her own landlords.
It was the third time in four years that the company was listed in the individual category.
Mr Wilson said: “A big thank you to all our landlords who completed the questionaire as without their feedback we would not have generated these results.”
