Return Nowton Park to the electorate

Nowton Park

Nowton Park

Following the introduction of parking charges to Nowton Park and bespoiling of Nowton Road with double yellow lines, the borough council agreed to review the situation and it was suggested that the yellow lines would be removed.

We only too frequently see public reviews used as a mechanism to delay and deflect public protest until an issue is forgotten; I hope that this is not the case here. It is clear that car numbers to the park have fallen and the urbanisation of Nowton Road is a disgrace, so come on St Edmundsbury, accept you got it wrong and return the park to your electorate.
