Eyesores in the town

Is the scaffolding above Tesco Express in St Andrew’s Street ever going to be dismantled? The store has been open for ages; the old scaffolding doesn’t seem to be doing anything, there is never anyone working up there and it is just a plain eyesore.

Stephen Moody,

Thurston.

n WHAT a monstrosity. Turning in to Angel Hill from Northgate Street is the eyesore of a building behind the gracious borough offices.

Who on earth gave permission for this to be allowed?

Let’s not see any more such high rise buildings in our lovely old town – a good advert for ‘Should have gone to Specsavers’.

Jill Headley,

West Road,

Bury St Edmunds.
