Two men who have been friends for 30 years are now in business together helping people enjoy their gardens more.

Craig Collins, from Brandon, and Mark Leader, from Risby, began Lazy Landscapes in April with the idea of specialising in creating low maintenance gardens.

Craig said: “Quite a few of the jobs we’ve had have been totally re-landscaping gardens that have been neglected to make them so people can enjoy them again.”

They do all aspects of landscaping from paving to pergolas and the intention is to make gardens that are family friendly and easy to maintain. They will also do projects in stages for people who cannot afford to spend a large sum at once.

If you hate mowing, you can have artificial grass or they offer a regular contract to come and maintain the garden for you.

“If we landscape a garden we try to get the contract to maintain it afterwards,” Craig said.

In addition, Mark is a qualified tree surgeon, so they can remove or reshape trees.

Craig was self-employed as a sub contractor for landscaping firms before moving into other things while Mark retrained after 18 years in the Royal Marines. Having known each other for 30 years, the business grew out of the friendship.
