A fund raising concert to help churches install roof alarms will be held at a church that has been a victim of lead thieves.
The concert by The Marian Consort, an early music vocal ensemble, will be at Lavenham Church on Saturday June 25.
It is in aid of Suffolk Historic Churches’ Trust, whose chairman Martin Favell said: “It is very generous of Lavenham Church, who have themselves been victims of the lead thieves, to offer their wonderful building for the concert.”
The trust gives grants to cover half the cost of installing alarms and has given £163,500 to 75 churches since its Alarms for Churches appeal was launched in September.
The concert will raise money to help more churches install alarms.
Tickets are £12 and £15 at www.shct.org.uk or from Helen Read on 01787 883884.
