White horses mark Whepstead pub's re-opening
ANYONE trying to drive through Whepstead today was in for a bit of a struggle as horse boxes and their equine occupants swarmed around the village pub.
The White Horse pub re-opened at midday after a major refurbishment.
It was purchased in the spring by Gary and Di Kingshott, who formerly ran The Beehive, in Horringer, for 25 years.
To mark the special occasion, white horses of all sizes, from the village and further afield, gathered in front of the pub.
Then villagers and visitors were invited to enjoy wine, beer and delicious pork or sausage baps supplied by the pub's new kitchens.
