THE people of Red Lodge pulled on their trainers and turned out to compete in sports and traditional fete games on Sunday.
Their was something for everyone at Red Lodge Pavilion’s Sports Field Day – local teams competed in tournaments while less accomplished athletes took part in traditional fete games such as welly wanging, had a taster at one of the classes held at the pavilion or just enjoyed a barbecue.
Paul Hope, Red Lodge Pavilion manager, said: “The first annual Red Lodge Sports Field Day was a complete success. I was overwhelmed by how many people came to support our teams, take part in the days activities and raise money to go towards equipment for each of our Red Lodge teams.”
