Two people arrested in connection with robberies

TWO people have been arrested in connection with robberies at stores in Norfolk and Suffolk.

A 29-year-old man from the Bury St Edmunds area has been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit armed robberies in Norfolk and Suffolk, dangerous driving and failing to stop for a police officer.

Meanwhile a 40-year-old woman from Northampton has been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit armed robberies in Norfolk and Suffolk and fraud by false representation.

The arrests are in relation to incidents at the Co-op store in Church Street, Sheringham, in Norfolk at about 6.30am on Wednesday August 8 and the Co-op store on the main road, in Clenchwarton, Norfolk, at 6.50am on Wednesday August 22.

They also relate to the village stores/post office store, in High Street in Laxfield, Suffolk, at about 6.15am on Wednesday September 5.

The man and woman are being held in custody at the Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre.
