Two face trial over stabbing
A man and a 17-year-old youth are to stand trial early next year accused of being involved in a stabbing in Stowmarket.
They were charged after a 22-year-old man suffered stab wounds to his upper body during an alleged incident in Windermere Road, Stowmarket, on the evening of Wednesday, September 18.
Sheldon Lee, 21, from Falcon Grove, Stowmarket, and a 17-year-old from the Bury St Edmunds area appeared at Ipswich Crown Court last Thursday.
Lee and the 17-year-old both pleaded not guilty to wounding with intent and robbery.
The 17-year-old cannot be named for legal reasons.
Their trial at Ipswich Crown Court is expected to take place in February and last for up to three days.
Two other men have pleaded guilty in connection with the same alleged incident.
They are Aaron Laflin, 19, of Falcon Grove, Stowmarket, who has admitted wounding with intent, and Alexander Buckle, 22, of Kent Road, Stowmarket, who has admitted robbery.
Laflin and Buckle cannot be sentenced by the court until after the conclusion of the trial of Lee and the 17-year-old .
