TWO brave women from Bury St Edmunds went from having beautiful long locks to completely bald heads within 20 minutes on Saturday.

Crowds of spectators gathered in the arc shopping centre as Sinead Austin, 22, and Natasha Caulder Ebbens, 21, had their heads shaved to raise money for Cancer Research UK.

Mrs Caulder Ebbens said: “We both had family and friends that had been through cancer, some have survived and some haven’t, so we wanted to put our names out there and support everyone going through the same thing.

“We wanted to do something a bit different and we don’t know many women who’d shave their hair off so we decided to do that.”

The pair have already raised more than £600 for the charity.
