Track’s charity karting event
The annual Red Lodge Karting charity challenge - in memory of Liam Fairhurst. Pictured in the kart is Liam's brother Callum, his mum Sarah, dad Mark and Alison Ramsay, fundraising manager from CLIC (on the far right).
During Red Lodge Karting’s charity challenge, 18 teams took to the track to raise money for CLIC Sargent and compete for the ‘Liam’s Smile’ trophy.
The event is held in memory of Liam Fairhurst who died of cancer and would have turned 18-years-old last weekend.
Teams of between two and six people spent more than two hours on track racing for the title.
The morning races were won by Formula 2 70, with Entente Coridale in second place.
The afternoon session was won by Young Starz with Magic Starz in second place.
Since starting the event in 2010 Red Lodge Karting has raised £40,000 for Clic Sargent.
