IPSWICH Building Society has confirmed that it will open a new agency in Mildenhall.

The society has signed an agreement with Balmforth estate agents, which will host the building society in its High Street offices.

Paul Winter, chief executive of Ipswich Building Society, said: “We are delighted from the responses we had from Mildenhall which clearly told us that the community wants a local building society in the town.”

The agency is planned to open on November 1.

An Ipswich Building Society branch manager will be in the Mildenhall office on October 17 and 24 for people wishing to make an appointment and open an account ahead of the opening.
