Thieves remove road closure signs
Motorists have been left without directions after more signs were stolen from village roads - a week after county officials reported 70 of their signs missing.
Police are investigating after 22 road signs displaying road closures and diversions were stolen from Felsham Road, Bradfield St George overnight on Tuesday (jul 7), while two signs for Felsham playing field were stolen from Church Road in Felsham.
It is believed thieves struck between 4.30pm on Tuesday and 7.15am on Wednesday in Bradfield St George, and between 9pm and 7am in Felsham.
Last week, highways officials said they believed around 70 of their signs, which are made from aluminium, had been stolen from villages near Bury St Edmunds because of the rising price the metal.
