Thetford road victim named

The Norfolk Coroner has named a woman from Brandon who died in an incident last week.

Kristina Mickeviciute, 27, was pronounced dead at the scene of the road traffic collision last Friday at around 7.15am on the B1107 from Thetford to Brandon.

Ms Mickeviciute was walking home when she was hit near the entrance to Thetford Golf Club, according to a spokesman for the coroner.

A post mortem examination showed she had died from multiple injuries including transection of spinal cord and a fracture of the skull.

An inquest into Ms Mickeviciute’s death has been opened and adjourned pending a police investigation.
