Theatre move in Bury St Edmunds is welcomed by former chairman

A former chairman of the Theatre Royal board and member of a campaign group has welcomed the decision to scrap a management merger with the Apex in Bury St Edmunds.

Judith Shallow who is also a member of a Don’t Bury our Theatre campaign group, said she was delighted the theatre board has instead decided to work in collaboration with the Apex while maintaining its independence.

“Patrons and theatre-goers will be delighyted to learn of the Theatre’s continued independence while welcoming the interesting partnerships that may develop in the future,” said Mrs Shallow.
