Theatre group calls on knitters for help

A POPULAR theatre group returning to Bury St Edmunds this year is calling on local knitters to help with its new show.

LipService’s chilly new thriller Inspector Norse (or The Girl With Two Screws Left Over) boasts a partially knitted set which it needs help completing.

The company, which brought Move Over Moriarty and Withering Looks, is due to return to Bury’s Theatre Royal in November and is asking all local knitters and knitting groups to get involved in knitting leaves and icicles to help decorate its set.

If you are a keen knitter and would like to get involved, email Lynn Whitehead at lynn@theatreroyal.org for templates and instructions.

All items must be submitted to the Theatre Royal by October 5.

For tickets and details of the show call the theatre’s box office on 01284 769505 or visit www.theatreroyal.org
