Theatre company in urgent call for leading man
CALLING all tenors, between mid-20s to mid-40s - Stowmarket Operatic Society needs you.
The society urgently needs to find someone to step into the leading man's shoes for Mr Cinders, which will be on at The Regal Theatre, in Stowmarket, from Tuesday, May 4- Saturday, May 8, with technical and dress rehearsals on May 2 and 3 and a matine on May 8.
The show was originally set to be performed last November, however an arson attack on the Ipswich Street theatre scuppered that. But the show must go on - and Mr Cinders was rescheduled for after the completion of building and repair work.
However, the leading man has been forced to drop out suddenly and a replacement is needed.
The part is Jim Lancaster and anyone interested needs to be mid-20s to mid-40s with youthful looks, a comedy actor with a good sense of timing and a tenor.
