That Chitty Chitty Bang Bang feeling

Classic cars from all eras will be polished up and lovingly displayed at a fund-raising event to raise money for St Nicholas Hospice Care on Sunday, September 12.

Joining their ranks will be the famous Chitty Chitty Bang Bang from the family film and visitors will have the opportunity to have their photographs taken with the vintage vehicle at the event at Hall Farm Fornham St Martin.

There will also be sports cars on show and prizes will be awarded for cars on show. Visitors will also be able to enjoy live music, craft stalls and children's activities.

The family fun day is being organised by the hospice's voluntary special events fund-raising committee who are keen for people to bring along their vehicles.

People can take along their own picnics and make a day of browsing among the four-wheeled beauties and help raise money for the vital work of the hospice which needs to raise 10,000 a day to provide the care it gives to people in West Suffolk and Thetford,

To register your classic or sport car contact 07830 468228.

Tickets are available from BMW dealership Carrs which is sponsoring the event and they are also available from the hospice's charity shops and Bury St Edmunds Tourist Information Office and cost 6 adults, concessions 4 and family tickets 15. Children under five are free. On the day, family tickets will be 18.
