Suffolk’s new chief constable named
Douglas Paxton
Suffolk’s new chief constable was named today as Douglas Paxton, currently Deputy Chief Constable of Staffordshire.
The appointment announced by Police Commissioner Tim Passmore is subject to confirmation by the Police and Crime Panel on February 8.
Mr Paxton, who should replace retiring Simon Ash, served with Suffolk police for 13 years having joined in 1989 and risen to the rank of Superintendent, serving as Deputy Area Commander for west Suffolk.
