HUNDREDS of young music fans visited the Museum of East Anglian Life last Saturday for the first ever STIX Music Festival.

The event was set up to get young people excited about the multi-million pound The Mix project in Stowmarket. The festival, organised in collaboration between The Mix and IP1 Magazine, featured an exciting line-up of local bands and musicians

Festival organiser Howard Freeman said: “What we are trying to do is gather an enthusiasm for youth-led activity in the Stowmarket area. It was to create a scene.

“Young people in the town were involved in planning and facilitating of the festival.

“The event was amazing.

“I hope the county council and The Mix continue to invest in the festival in years to come.”
