St Edmund singalong
Sunday shoppers were given an extra treat at the weekend when they were invited to join in a public singalong and recording of a new song dedicated to Bury's very own Saint Edmund.
Artist Ned Pamphilon, who is currently working exhibiting in Cornhill Walk Shopping Centre, in Bury St Edmunds, has recorded a CD with children from St Edmund's Primary School and on Sunday a live recording was also made of My Name is Edmund.
The song arose after Ned painted cloakroom walls at the school to celebrate the Feast of St Edmund and the school's music week. He composed the song and, along with local musician Barry Jones and the pupils, recorded the CD at The Shrubbery Recording Studio, in Bury.
Ned is at the shopping centre until Sunday and as well as his own work, there is fascinating wood sculpture on show from Ben Platts Mills, of Coney Weston.
My Name is Edmund can be obtained from Ned at the Cornhill Walk for 3 or from The Shrubbery Studio, in Bury.
