Society's first show success

Panto fever has been spreading in one village after a newly-formed amateur dramatics society gave its first performance.

Shouts of 'He's behind you!' could be heard at Haughley Village Hall on Friday and Saturday, as the Haughley Amateur Theatrical Society performed their version of Sleeping Beauty to three sold-out audiences.

Writer and director Michelle Brooks said: "It went very well. Everyone worked very hard and it was a huge success for the village."

The group are now hoping to put together a new production in the summer, and anyone interested in joining the group should email Lindsey Philpot at haughleyhats@hotmail.co.uk
