AN AWARDS night is being held to recognise social workers in and around Bury St Edmunds who have gone the extra mile to make a difference to people’s lives.

The Social Worker of the Year Awards, organised by a registered charity, are a way of recognising social workers who have had a positive impact on families.

Entries close on August 31 and winners will be announced in November.
