So which Bury St Edmunds pub has been named among the UK’s best?
The beerhouse in Bury St Edmunds has been named as one of the best places to drink in the UK in the Observer food monthly awards.
Voted by its readers, it described the pub which has its own microbrewery, as producing ‘excellent pale ale and bitter’.
Opened in July 2010, The Beerhouse focuses on traditional cask ales, several of which are produced by its onsite sister micro brewery Brewshed.
Both are part of the independently owned and family run Gusto Pronto group whose other sites include The One Bull and The Cadogan.
Owner David Marjoram said: “We are always delighted to be recognised for the quality of what we offer and it is particularly gratifying in this instance that the awards were voted for by Observer readers.”
The Beerhouse is hosting its second winter beer festival from November 23 ro November 25th November to coincide with the award winning Bury St Edmunds Christmas Fayre.
