Smoke in cockpit causes emergency landing
An RAF Lakenheath helicopter has made an emergency landing due to smoke in the cockpit.
The HH-60G Pave Hawk made a precautionary emergency landing at a field in Santon Downham, at 4.34pm, yesterday.
The smoke was caused by a failed windshield wiper motor.
None of the six people on board were injured.
The helicopter had been on a routine training mission when it made the landing, five miles east of base.
