Smile! Surgery toasts first year
A DENTAL surgery which had to fight for its right to exist has just celebrated a year of putting smiles on residents’ faces.
Red Lodge Dental Surgery, in Boundary Road, welcomed its first patient on December 4, 2010.
Last month, staff celebrated a year in business with a party.
Diana Knight, who fought to turn the objections of Forest Heath District Council planning officers into an approval from councillors, said she was proud of all her staff.
“The first year of any new business is challenging, but the staff have all pulled together to make this a happy and successful year,” she said.
Dr Knight had practised at The Manor Orthodontic Practice in Barton Mills for 16 years before setting up the Red Lodge practice.
