SLIDESHOW: Cancer walk has hot start

Pink was the colour of the day as walkers took to the grounds of Ickworth Park for a fund-raiser.

A crowd of walkers were taking part in Suffolk's Breakthrough's Walk on the Westside yesterday, with organisers hoping to raise plenty of cash for Breakthrough Breast Cancer.

Participants, who were wearing pink fancy dress – with prizes on offer for the best costumes – had to contend with soaring temperatures as they took on four or 11-mile walks through the grounds of the historic site.

And after working up an appetite, those taking part also had the chance to tuck in to lunch at the Ickworth Hotel.
