Six family members celebrate marriages

Oscar & Marjorie enjoying the 60th wedding anniversary with daughters Shirley & Sandra who will also be celebrating their 40th & 35th wadding anniversarys to John & Bob this year.

FOR Oscar and Margery Rackham, 83 and 84, celebrating their diamond anniversary was a family affair.

The couple from Lakenheath who married on June 14 1952 celebrated 60 years of marriage in a joint celebration at Worlington Country Club with their two daughters, Shirley Knight and Sandra Pool, who were also celebrating 40 and 35 years of marriage.

The couple’s son, grandchildren and great-grandchildren also attended along with Margery’s sister and Oscar’s brother – both of whom live in America.

Margery had a dress in the same style as her wedding dress made specially to surprise Oscar, and her daughter Shirley organised for a piper to play at the event.
