Second highest paid job at West Suffolk Hospital up for grabs as it seeks £105k chief operating officer
West Suffolk Hospital in Bury St Edmunds is advertising for a £105,000 a year chief operating officer, six months after the last one left.
It is the second highest paid role at the hospital, behind that of the £120-125,000 a year chief executive Stephen Graves.
Gwen Nuttall, the hospital’s previous chief operating officer, left in August to take on the same title at the Royal Wolverhampton Hospitals.
A statement from West Suffolk Hospital said: “As this is a major role at the hospital, we have taken the opportunity to review the job description carefully before readvertising the position.
“This is to make sure the role will continue to meet the needs of the trust during times of change for the NHS.
“The role has been filled on an interim basis by Andy Graham, director of major projects.”
A hospital spokeswoman said the job is being advertised for the same salary that Ms Nuttall, who also held the title of deputy chief executive, received.
The hospital said it wants someone ‘ Who can provide visible leadership’ and ‘Drive our culture of innovation and continuing service improvement’.
