School's outstanding features praised
High-quality care and guidance have been praised by Ofsted inspectors, who visited Hopton Primary School.
In a report published this week, following the inspection in May, Ofsted rated the school as good, but said it has 'outstanding features'.
"Outstanding leadership from the headteacher and her team are very astutely driving improvements. The headteacher's leadership inspires others to work together very thoughtfully," said the report.
The school, which has 79 pupils, has improved levels of attainment by pupils considerably since its last inspection in 2007, said inspectors, who also praised the good quality teaching on offer.
"An exceptionally welcoming and happy atmosphere is clearly visible throughout the school," added the report.
"The headteacher leads the school with immense professionalism and enthusiasm and is ably supported by a highly committed team of staff."
Helen Harding, headteacher, said: "We're absolutely full of joy about the report - we're delighted. I'm pleased for everyone here because I know their commitment is second to none. That includes the children - they were very much part of this inspection.
"Generally, I was delighted that the inspector recognised the good things that were going on in school and the high quality of service that we give."
