TEAMWORK was in full force as pupils from across Bury St Edmunds Academy Trust baked bread during a visit to a historic mill.
Nearly 40 pupils from Barrow Primary, Westley and Horringer Court Middles and County Upper descended on Pakenham Water Mill where they made bread as well as bagged and weighed flour.
They also enjoyed a tour of the mill and learnt about its history, focusing on how a miller would have spent his day.
The visit allowed the children from each of the schools to work together as part of the trust’s four-to-19 all-through system.
Older students from County Upper were on hand to support the younger pupils.
Amanda Sands, four to 19 co-ordinator for the trust, said: “It was really valuable work experience and a lovely opportunity for them to begin to get to know each other and the staff.”
