Fog may cause transport delays tonight and tomorrow morning

Widespread fog has been forecast across the east of England from 6pm today until 11am tomorrow.

The Met Office has issued a yellow ‘be aware’ weather warning and says that this morning’s fog will linger on hills and windward coasts.

The forecasters say when it thickens this evening visibility will be 300 to 100 metres, falling to 50 metres on hills. It is likely to cause traffic disruption.

This morning’s fog caused delays to Greater Anglia services into Liverpool Street station.
