Rumba is ‘best performance yet’ for Victoria

A Hollywood Rumba saw Victoria Pendleton spinning around the dance floor and into the next stage of Strictly Come Dancing.

It was Hollywood week on Strictly and Victoria and Brendan took to the dance floor to perform a Rumba inspired by ‘An Officer and a Gentleman’.

The pair were awarded a score of 22 securing their place in the competition.

Bury Free Press expert Sian Couture has analysed Victoria’s performance.

She said: “There was a very noticeable improvement in her technique and despite a few hitches she gave her best performance yet!

“Victoria is starting to use a straighter leg allowing a more natural hip action to develop.

“She was also in more control of her arm lines, although returning to hold position still needs more practise.

“For me, however, the biggest improvement was the addition of real emotion in her acting and the beginning of the dance showed this beautifully.”
