Resolution Run to raise cash for stroke research

The Stoke Association is holding a ‘Resolution Run’ in March to help fund life-saving research and support families affected by strokes.

The charity is holding 18 events up and down the UK including one at Nowton Park, in Bury St Edmunds, on March 24.

Runners receive a free t-shirt, goodie bag and medal for taking part as well as a warm up provided by LA Fitness.

The charity is also looking for volunteers to help out on the day including registration staff, marshals to direct runners around the course and a team at the finishing line to give out those all important medals.

Organiser Tam Marshall, from the Stroke Association, said: “Runners can choose their own distance and pace, and all the money raised will go towards research into preventing strokes, and supporting thousands of stroke survivors and their families to adjust to life after a stroke.

“People can race their work colleagues, set themselves a new challenge for 2013 or beat a personal best, all whist supporting a great cause.”

Entry fee is from £12.50.
