Raising a cuppa for charity

COMMUNITIES across the county will be raising a cuppa for Macmillan Cancer Support during the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning.

Events will be held at:

 The WI Hall, in Wickhambrook, from 9am to noon, on September 28 with a display of gifts for Christmas from Chocoholics.

 The Unitarian Meeting House, in Bury St Edmunds, from 10am to noon, on September 28, with musical entertainment.

 The Mundford Road Allotment Club, in Thetford, will be selling cakes, jams, pickles vegetables and coffee and tea at the entrance to the allotment site, in Croxton Road, from 9am to noon, on September 29.

 The Greengage (Hungry Horse), in Bury, at 9am, on September 28.

 Lakenheath Village Hall on September 28 from 10am to 12.30pm with lots of stalls, tea, coffee and cakes.

 Barnham Buzzy Bee’s parents and toddler group will be getting involved from 9.15am to 11.15am on September 28 with cakes, cupcakes, biscuits and other treats available at their usual toddler group for 0 to four year olds.

 Methodist Church Hall, in Tanner Street, Thetford, on September 28, from 9.30am to 12.30pm.

 Bonmarche, on Cornhill, Bury, is inviting customers to take part in a bake off where all entrants bring a strictly home made sweet baked item, which is either a cake, cupcakes, tarts, tray bake, sweet loaf, cookies, biscuits and cake pops. All entries must be in by 1pm on September 28 with a £2 donation.
