Putting a stop to scams

A NEW scheme in the fight against scams is being rolled out this month.

Norfolk County Council is hoping to help people spot cons with Marking Scams Awareness Month.

It has organised a series of surgeries for residents to learn how they can spot scams and protect themselves from being caught out.

The surgeries will also give residents a chance to discuss their experiences with scammers.

Officers will be at Thetford Library on February 29 from 10am to 1pm.

Call Consumer Direct on 08454 04 05 06 for advice on dealing with scams.
