A GROUP of primary school pupils will be saving lives to a disco rhythm after receiving training from a charity.

Youngsters at Edmund de Moundeford Primary School, in Feltwell, learned how to give CPR to the beat of the Bee Gees’ Stayin’ Alive, after being visited by the British Heart Foundation (BHF) last Thursday.

The school was given a special training pack and pupils were shown how to call 999 and perform chest compressions and use the recovery position.

Alex Mayer, from BHF, said the school was given resuscitation manikins and a training kit.

“I hope that the pupils will never have to use the life-saving skills they learn.

“But it’s very important children have the confidence to know what to do if someone is hurt,” he said.
