Pupils from the Bury St Edmunds Academy Trust put their fitness to the test as part of a new partnership with the town’s rugby club

Scores of youngsters from Barrow Primary, Horringer Court Middle, Westley Middle and County Upper School took part in a series of activities during the ‘Sport for Life’ event, which highlighted the benefits of a healthy and active lifestyle.

They took part in a series of fitness tests, small sided games and boosted their understanding of a healthy balanced diet.

The event - part of the trust’s programme of Olympic Legacy activities - culminated in a non contact tag festival.

West Suffolk College also supported the event, which was sponsored by Churchill Catering.
