Pupils get gifts for guide dogs
STUDENTS have been raising money to purchase virtual items from a guide dog’s shopping list.
Pupils at Mildenhall College of Technology raised money to buy goods from the list including leads, dog treats and dog beds by organising small fund-raisers.
Students decided to raise money for the charity after representatives from the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association told them how much it costs to train and maintain a guide dog.
The school presented the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association with a cheque for £581.88.
Mike Clarke, from the Bury branch of the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association, said: “It’s wonderful to see such a generous amount being raised by the young people.”
