GOLDEN retriever Bennett is just 12 weeks old, but about to em-bark on Guide Dog training.

He is the fourth puppy to be funded by Bennett Homes, based in Nowton.

The company has raised £15,000 through raffles, sponsored events and a donation from the business.

Bennett and puppy walkers Patricia and David Butcher, alongside Mike Clarke from Guide Dogs visited the firm earlier this month.

Managing director of Bennett Homes Edward Parker said: “We are delighted to welcome Bennett. This is an excellent charity and one which all the staff have taken to their hearts.

“This puppy is going to make such a difference to the life of someone with little or no eyesight who just can’t do things the rest of us take for granted.”
