Pub offers its customers a new take-away food service

A TAKE-away food service is now available from a pub on Moreton Hall.

Since the start of September, customers of the Ember Inn have been able to order their favourite pub grub to go.

“We started doing it because we do food until 10pm anyway and a lot of people said they were leaving here hungry with nowhere really to get anything,” said pub landlady Georgina Barnes.

“It’s proved quite popular and lot of people, while they’re waiting, will have a pint,” she added.

The take-away menu offers less choice than the pub’s full menu but meals are priced at a reduced rate and include gourmet burgers, sandwiches and pub favourites such as scampi and chips and steak and ale pie.

Food purchased is wrapped in greaseproof paper and tucked into take-away boxes, before being placed in a paper bag for easy transportation.

To place an order, call 01284 725048 or pop into the pub in Lawson Place.
