Police warning over suspicious calls

Elderly women have been left distressed after being asked a series of personal questions through suspicious phone calls.

Suffolk Police are warning people to be vigilant after the reports of suspicious and unsolicited calls.

The calls, made on May 8 and 9, were to elderly people in Lakenheath and Stowmarket.

Both callers requested to arrange a visit to either value possessions or to discuss security.

Police are advising people not to give out personal details over the phone and to hang up if you are unsure if the caller is genuine.

Anyone concerned should contact Suffolk Police on 01473 613500.
