CCTV image of man police wish to trace in regard to a theft in Mildenhall

Suffolk police have released a CCTV image of a man they wish to trace following an assault in Mildenhall.

The assault on a member of staff at Co-Op in King Street, Mildenhall occurred after staff tried to prevent the theft of beer.

Three men had entered the shop on Saturday March 31.

One took cans of Stella Artois from a shelf and moved to the back of the store to avoid the check-outs.

He was confronted by a member of staff who he pushed in the chest before running off down Kings Street towards Kingsway.

PC James Vincent said: “We are continuing to investigate the incident and are keen to hear from anyone who could identify the man pictured in the CCTV image.”
