Police investigate football club break-in

Police are investigating a break-in at Stowmarket Football Club.

On Wednesday December 12 at 1.35am the club was entered on Bury Road, Stowmarket, and the entire building searched.

Internal doors and bar shutters were damaged when they were forced open and a jar containing cash was stolen.

The money pot was later recovered nearby by police.

A person was seen at the time damaging an exterior alarm.

They were described as a white man, approximately 18 to 19 years old, between 5 foot 7 inches to 5 foot 8 inches tall, with a slim build.

He was wearing a brown winter jacket and brown trousers.
