Police appeal for witness to attack on woman jogger in Bury

Police are appealing for information after a woman was attacked while jogging in Bury St Edmunds.

The 22-year-old was running near flats on Cotton Lane at around 11.10pm on Monday when she was pushed from behind. She fell to the ground and struggled with the male offender until he left the scene.

Police are keen to speak to another jogger seen in the area with a black Labrador dog as they may have information that could help the inquiry.

The suspect is described as black, skinny, over 6ft tall and no more than 30 years old. He had short hair and wore a hoodie jacket over jeans with a rip in one leg. He was also wearing a white metal neck chain.

Calls can be made to PC Emma Harper on 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
